Numerous public footpaths nearby, including one of Country Walking Magazine's listed "100 Favourite Walks Down Your Way" featuring footpaths actually on Flintwood Farm and nearby surrounding countryside. Also direct access onto Heritage Horse Trail with the bridleway passing through the farmyard, horses can be stabled or allowed to graze in nearby pasture whilst riders relax at Poachers Hideaway.
We are located in a hidden valley with fine views over the Vale of Scamblesby and Belchford Valleys.
The farm has Ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows, lakes and Sandstone outcrops with an abundance of fossils. You approach Flintwood Farm up a Roman salt road with villa site, terracing, and Neolithic burial mound.
Stone age tools can be found in most fields. The farm provided working horses for the First World War and was a training ground for the Home Guard in the Second World War. There are miles of private walks and you can picnic and bar-b-que within the grounds. We also provide fishing rods for carp and trout fishing (catch & return) in our lakes.
Discover the poet Lord Tennyson's hidden spots of Lincolnshire by car, bicycle or even on horseback. We have uninterupted views for over 30 miles, Ideally positioned for the coast and the market towns of Horncastle and Louth. The city of Lincoln is within easy reach (40 min away). Cadwell park racing circuit is only 4 miles away.
